Bay Area Lyme’s Distinguished Speaker series was a virtual discussion with Lyme disease specialist Dr. Sunjya Schweig and Lyme patient Nancy Chimsky. Recovering from tick-borne illnesses can be aided through carefully devised combinations of conventional and functional medicine, tailored to the individual person. In this meeting, Dr. Schweig discussed the top four lifestyle areas critical to recovery and explained how and why optimizing each area is key to treating and managing Lyme and tick-borne disease. Nancy Chimsky is a semi-retired interior designer who has been challenged with chronic Lyme disease issues since 1997 but was only diagnosed in the fall of 2010. Due to severe allergies to most antibiotics, she required naturopathic approaches to manage and treat her condition and symptoms. Nancy is passionate about helping others challenged with chronic Lyme disease and other chronic illnesses and shared her Lyme journey at the event.
